The Orpheus Institute proudly introduces the first Orpheus Research Summit: advanced professional development for artistic researchers in music, a brand new event for established artist-researchers. From 26 – 30 November 2018 at the Orpheus Institute, Ghent.
A total of 644 entries were submitted for the 2018 Association of University Presses Book, jacket & journal show. The jurors selected 49 books, 1 journal, and 53 jackets and covers as the very best examples of university-press design. Our latest publication ‘Artistic Research in Music: Discipline and Resistance’ (Jonathan Impett, ed.), published by Leuven University Press and designed by Ghent based Studio Luc Derycke, has been selected in the Scholarly Typographic category!

The Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome hosts on Monday Feb. 12 an evening on Artistic Research in Music with Leonella Grasso Caprioli from RAMI (Association for Artistic Research in Music in Italy). On the occasion of this event, there will be a book presentation of our latest publication Artistic Research in Music: Discipline and Resistance (Jonathan Impett, ed.) by Peter Dejans (Director of the Orpheus Institute) and Tiziano Manca (Associate Researcher) as well as a screening of Inside the Hearing Machine, the documentary by Tom Beghin (Principal Investigator) revealing the findings of his research project at the Orpheus Institute.
