EMPaR´s objective is to develop a definition and to discuss the nature, methodologies and pedagogical structures of Research in and through Musical Practice.
It was also EMPaR´s task to develop a clear curriculum at doctoral level in musical arts. In preparation for this, the programme´s think-tank drew upon the combined strengths of university- and conservatoire-based collaborators in formulating a conceptual framework for a practice-based music doctorate.
